Happiness & Martin Luther King Jr. Day
An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity. ~ Martin Luther King Jr.
Today I wanted to do a piece to honor and celebrate equality, the fight for civil rights and one of its leaders, Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. So today some pieces about why today is so important. I think a lot of people really don’t see this as anything other than a black holiday or a liberal holiday and I think that is unfortunate. You see, sooner or later we are all part of a minority, we will all need the benefit and the benevolence of the majority. Equality is important, as important as freedom or the pursuit of happiness. So today, take a few minutes and honor the memory of all of those who went before us and all of those who continue to fight the fight for equality and have a happy day my friends ~ Rev Kane
Why Martin Luther King Jr. Day should matter to children of every race
