Three Questions, January 10, 2025

You can find the background to The Three Questions in my recent post about it. I’ll be answering the questions each day for the next year and putting this experience into a book. Here we go!

What was the most beautiful thing I encountered today?

It was simply a man choking up with tears. Our director of our undocumented student center was doing a presentation on his last day on campus before he takes a new job. In talking about his students and how his only thought was that they be protected and taken care of, he choked up and almost cried. It was really beautiful to see that kind of caring on display.

What did I learn today?

What I learned today was about all of the steps our campus and District are taking to protect and care for our undocumented students as we move through the next few years.

What made me happy today?

Seeing great attendance, great attention and real interest from faculty and staff in protecting some of our most vulnerable students.
